How to Care for Your Succulent Terrarium: Essential Tips
Succulent terrariums are small, self-contained gardens that bring a touch of nature into your home. Whether you're new to gardening or have plenty of experience, these miniature ecosystems are perfect for adding greenery to your space. In this guide, we’ll share some simple tips to help you care for your succulent terrarium here in New Zealand.
1. Light Requirements: Succulents thrive in bright light, so it’s important to place your terrarium where it can get plenty of sunlight. A spot near a sunny window is ideal, where your plants can enjoy direct or bright indirect light. If your succulents start stretching towards the light, they might need a bit more sun. Moving them to a brighter location could even encourage them to bloom!
2. Watering Tips: Succulents don’t need a lot of water. During the summer, water your plants every two weeks, using just a tablespoon of water per succulent. In the cooler months, you can reduce watering to once every 4 to 6 weeks. Always make sure the terrarium has dried out between waterings to keep your plants healthy.
