Ready-Made Terrariums – Local Delivery Only
We currently deliver terrariums only to select postcodes: Hornby (8042), Halswell (8025), Templeton (7678), Prebbleton (7604), Rolleston (7476), West Melton (7618), and Lincoln (7672).

Shipping Costs
- Christchurch (non-rural) – $7 delivery
- South Island – $10 (non-rural)
- North Island – $13 (non-rural)
- Small items (e.g. keyrings, pins) – $6 NZ-wide
- Rural delivery incur a $6 surcharge
- Free shipping on orders over $99
Shipping Times
Orders with plants
We’re based in Christchurch and plan shipments carefully to avoid plants sitting in courier depots over weekends.
- North Island: Collected Mondays & Tuesdays
- South Island: Collected Mondays, Tuesdays & Wednesdays
- Delivery time: Usually 3–5 days after collection
- Tracking: Sent by email (check spam or promotions folder if you don’t see it).
Orders without plants
- Dispatched within 1–2 business days
- Delivery usually 3–5 days after dispatch
- Tracking emailed to you.
Returns & Exchanges
We follow the Consumer Guarantees Act:
- No change-of-mind returns or exchanges for terrariums or plants.
- For faulty items, email contact@alwaysalive.co.nz within 5 days of receiving your order.
Reporting damage
Please send us:
- A photo of the damaged packaging
- A photo of the item damage (and interior damage if possible)
Lost packages
If tracking shows “delivered” but you haven’t received it, contact us immediately.
Important Information
- Ensure your shipping address and contact phone number are correct.
- We can’t take responsibility for lost or stolen items sent to an incorrect address.
